She was crowned Miss Columbus 1985. Miss Columbus 1985, kissing her crown, after winning over all of the other contestants. Because of her win, she was entitled to compete at the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. On Saturday, June 22nd, 1985 she also won the contest. Mohr later went on September 1985 to compete for Georgia in Miss America 1986, a pageant hosted in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Mohr was not a Top-10 Finalist in the National Title.
