April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American, is among a select group of women who have had medals won in multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman is the newest Olympian and is set to join her at Tokyo. Ross will also be hoping for her first Olympic medal. And at the age of 39, this could be her final chance to accomplish this. But she's convinced that top honors are firmly at hand. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even if we just play well, I think we could get the gold medal." It's also going to be a matter of chance. Ross was born August 22, 1982, at Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area along with her entire family. In Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of activities. As a prep-athlete, she also played indoor track and volleyball. While she did well in indoor volleyball however, it was evident that her skills were above normal. According to her biography, she was a middle blocker and an outside volleyball player during her senior year at high school. She was awarded one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. Her skills in volleyball brought her the Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in the year 2000. Even though Ross Klineman and Ross are a couple since the year 2017, Klineman was already an established player on the beach scene long before their pairing. She has won major competitions with different players. A couple of those is an iconic player in the world of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until the year 2013. Alongside Kessy Ross was a force on the international stage, claiming a world title in 2009. This duo went through to take home a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor took home gold ahead of them. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she retired. In 2016, the duo won bronze in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. In high school and the years before she hit the sand professionally, Ross played to the Trojans at USC while an collegiate. She had a great run through the NCAA tournament. In 2000, she was voted Pac-10 Freshman and NCAA Freshman Of The Year. She was also named an All-American. She also helped the Trojans get to their first Final Four. The second season of her career she was devastated by a personal tragedy, but managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. Through her last two years as a player, she led the Trojans up to the summit netting three consecutive championships at the national level. She had established herself as an all-time great winning the 2003-2004 Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female collegiate volleyball player. Ross, a USC international relations student, was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, was never given the chance to watch Ross' daughter blossom into an international beach volleyball star. Ross's mother died of breast carcinoma in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. She has kept her mother in her the heart. In addition, Margie continues to be an encouragement for her on the beach as well as in everyday the world of.
